Intussusception in dog - could be serious as well.
Intussusception can be quite a painful experience for your dog, as your dog will not eat or drink and can be easily mixed up with many other more common conditions such as dog constipation or straining to pass feces.
This is normally harmless to your dog long but as the contractions of the vomiting or diarrhea get worse then the muscles in the lower intestines contract so hard that they overlap each other or go inside each other.
After the overlapping process has happened, the following food that is being passed through the intestines becomes trapped in the overlapped part.
This is not a very common occurrence in dogs but may cause constant retching to vomit. Surgery is usually the way to fix intussusception by going into the effected area and pulling the two overlapping part apart and releasing and removing the contained waste to ensure a normal passage in the future.
This procedure should always be dealt with by a vet and ask for further guidance which usually results in a check-up to identify the condition.

Neurofibroma in a dog on chest cavity
Dermal neurofibromas continue to increase in number and size throughout life. They look like lumps on or under the skin.
Plexiform neurofibromas are often congenital defects, and can be very large and can cause pain, disfigurement, neurological and other clinical deficits. These tumors are commonly treated with surgical removal. Dermal neurofibromas are not usually removed unless they are painful or disfiguring, because there are generally so many of them and they are not dangerous.
These are the photos of a street pet dog and i have already written about her story. I feel so sorry for her as she came to me in quite late stages. CT scan revealed that growth was deeply attached with intercostal muscles and was deeply rooted in the thoracic cavity. i tried but couldn't help her too much.

Guinea pig - Need vitamin C everyday
Guinea pigs can be maintained on commercial guinea pig pellets alone. Alfalfa hay and cubes can be feed if other hay is also fed. Many sources of alfalfa are too rich to be a major component of guinea pig diets. Fruits, starchy vegetables and sweet items are best not fed because they can destroy the normal intestinal flora or bacteria.

HOW TO BATHE YOUR CAT
Once everything has been arranged, its time to get your cat. Most cats hate water, so do not let your cat know what is going to happen.
Bathing
In one single liquid motion, shut the door of the bathroom, step into the shower, close the sliding doors, and drop the cat into the water.
Make sure you place a rubber mat in the tub. Firstly, dip a cloth in warm water and wipe the area around your cat's eyes. Put a few drops of mineral oil into the cat's eyes, which will protect the eyes from soap.
Select a good-quality cat shampoo for your cat's bath. If you think your cat might have a few fleas, use flea shampoo. If your cat has long hair, you can buy cat shampoo with conditioner, which will help keep his hair from tangling.
To divert its attention from bathing, the best thing would be to talk to your cat.
After you've washed your cat, blot his tail and legs with a paper towel, as these areas tend to absorb a lot of water. Then take your cat out of the sink and wrap it in a towel.

How to brush your dog's teeth
There are important facts about pets' mouth that tell us when, where and how to brush. It takes less than 36 hours for this plaque to become mineralized and harden into "tartar" that cannot be removed with a brush. To avoid this progression, brushing should be done daily, with a brush to remove the plaque from under the gum line.
Pick a time of day that will become a convenient part of your pet's daily routine. Take a few days to let both of you get use to the process. Follow with praise and a walk or treat each time.
How to brush your Dog's Teeth -
Start by offering your dog a taste of the dog's toothpaste. The next time, let him taste the toothpaste, then run your finger along the gums of the upper teeth. Repeat the process with the tooth brush. Get the bristles of the brush along the gum line of the upper back teeth and angle slightly up, so the bristles get under the gum line. Work from back to front, making small circles along the gum lines. Do not try to brush the entire mouth at first. If your pet eventually allows you to brush most of his teeth, so much the better.
Even with the best tooth brushing, some dogs may still need an occasional professional cleaning. By brushing your pet's teeth daily, you may reduce the frequency and involvement of dental cleanings.

Nail problems in dogs and pups
Dog nail problems: A broken nail can also cause a lot of pain, limping, and irritation. Keeping a close eye on the size of your puppy's nails is very necessary because long can break. If it happen, you must cut it to relieve the pain and to prevent more injury to the paw or infections. If the root of the puppy's nail has not been affected, the dog's nail should grow back without any problem. Sometimes puppy's nails will get infected because of bacteria, virus, or a fungus. If you find your puppy limping you should start by examining the puppy's paws very carefully and in if your puppy's nails are hurt, infected or have lesions, then the best thing is to call the veterinarian.
Puppy cysts: When your puppy is constantly licking and biting at its paw and trying to alleviate the pain. It could be a cyst. A cyst is a "sack" of liquid surrounded by body tissue. Cysts normally need to be treated by a veterinarian. It must be noted that cysts don't usually cause any harm to the animal's health, but it's best to take the animal to the veterinarian to check just in case. Cysts often remain unchanged in shape and size for months or even years, and continuous licking may lead to various problems. Such cases need Veterinary attention and should not be delayed.

Sweat glands - dog
In people, sweat glands regulate temperature by sweating and bringing warm moisture to the surface of the skin, which causes cooling as the sweat evaporates. Sweat glands are located all over the human body, cooling takes place over a greater surface area of the skin than it does in dogs. Dogs don't have this cooling system because their bodies have very few sweat glands, and most of those are in the footpads.
Dogs cool themselves primarily by the process of panting and breathing, with the moist lining of their lungs serving as the evaporating surface. A dog that is overheated will act sluggishly and gums and tongue may appear bright red, and he will be panting hard. The dog may vomit, collapse, have a seizure, and may go into a coma. An overheated dog is a real emergency situation. Get him to a veterinarian immediately. On the way to the veterinary clinic, cover him with cool wet towels. Don't use ice-cold water.
