ADOPT A STRAY
niti adpoted this stray pup from the street. she lost her dog all of a sudden and that episode was very traumatic for the family. finally they decided to give home to a stray pup as they need one companion for them despite the breed. it is a wonderful act to adopt a stray. every family should adopt one stray or at least feed them...it is human's duty...to help the needy ones...God want us to help these creatures, who are dependant on us..

Care for your dog's eyes:
Keep all hair out of your dog's eyes since scratches to the cornea can result from contact with hair.

Trim the hair using only blunt-nosed scissors, cutting parallel to the edge of the eyelid.
Keep eyes clear of mucus at all times.
Apply a protective ophthalmic ointment under the top lid to protect the eyes before bathing, facial cleanings.
'Tear staining' is a common problem with particular breeds of dogs and can get unsightly if not taken care of. Normally, tears flow across the surface of the eye and quickly drain through the tear duct. This discoloration at the corners of the eyes is caused by normal tears that spill out and lay on the surrounding hair.

Ovarian cyst in a female dog
Broony, 7 years old, female dog was in season two months ago, coupled with the dark bloody discharge for a long period. She made me wonder if she has an ovarian cyst. The cyst could be interfering with her normal hormone production, and account for the bleeding.
A small cyst could be treated with a series of hormone shots to make the cyst mature and rupture. But i decided for the ovario-hysterectomy and blood test was done to check any alteration from the normal values. Finally dog was spayed and these big ovarian cyst were removed. After recovery Broony is living healthy life and even the owners are are happy to see her back to the life. In my opinion, if you do not want to breed female dogs; they should be spayed to avoid problems and unwanted puppies.
